After a lot of reflection and internal conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to withdraw from the race for Charlotte City Council At-Large. I wanted to thank you for your support, and let everyone who has donated know that we will be refunding campaign contributions.

As much as I believe in the vision I’ve been building for a better, more transparent Charlotte, the nature of my work in the private sector presents too great a potential for conflicts of interest. I’m not yet ready to step away from that work - especially when it still offers meaningful ways to contribute to the city’s future.

This isn’t the end - just a pause. I’m still committed to helping shape a more equitable, thoughtful, and people-centered Charlotte, in every capacity I can.
